Complete set of teacher's picture cards to accompany the Newson reader "Playtime," the illustrations (a cake, a balloon, a drum, an automobile, etc) all appearing in the book's first 38 pages. Instructions to the teacher are usefully printed on the envelope, "Teachers will find these pictures especially helpful in developing the first groups of stories on the chart or on the blackboard before books are put into the hands of the children. Later on, the pictures may be used by the children for chart work, matching pictures with sentences and words, either under direction or in free time."
A fascinating relic of this baffling educational practice of "chart building" a story. Not in OCLC as of October, 2025.
