[JUVENILE] [ILLUSTRATED] [FAIRY TALE]. 4to (9 ¾ x 6 3/8”); [8]pp; stiff pictorial wrapper, red and green decorate a pink background, illustration of Cinderella being fitted with the slipper on the front, rear wrapper publisher’s ads for Aunt Louisa’s Big Picture Series, Gilt Cover Picture Books, Uncle Ned’s Picture Books, and Ancient Nursery Rhymes, Mediaeval Style on rear; publisher’s string binding; 8 half-page chromolithograph illustrations with text; pages printed one side only; tape repair to bottom 2 ½” of wrapper on inside, light hand soiling; very good plus. One version of the Cinderella story illustrated with bright, chromolithograph pictorials. This story ends with the bad step-mother and stepsisters begging for Cinderella’s forgiveness after she is crowned queen.
