Robley "Fighting Bob" Evans (1846-1912) was a rear admiral in the U.S. Navy, serving during the Civil War and the Spanish-American War. From 1907 to 1908, Evans commanded the Great White Fleet, which circumnavigated the globe and visited multiple countries to improve foreign relations and showcase U.S. naval strength.
