Pepperell, Massachusetts, 1945. Frank Tyler Marston (1877-1952) was the President, Salutatorian, and Class Poet of the 1895 coed graduating class of Pepperell High School in Massachusetts, on the border with New Hampshire. He created the scrapbook and included photographs of the school and Prescott Hall, where the graduations took place, a program, a clipping, his invitation, and several carte-de-visite photographs. Marston later wrote at bottom what became of them in terms of their family life. He also included a senior class statistics chart, transcribed diary notes regarding the graduation as well as class meetings.~~News clippings regarding a 20-year anniversary in 1915 and a 50-year anniversary in 1945 and souvenirs from the latter event. A letter from Frank about the event is included with all the letters of both attendees and those who had to send their regrets. The volume closes with several programs and information about graduates from other classes from 1896 to 1945.~~Marston became a newspaper editor, navy yard worker, served in WWI, and became a hotel worker. He married Minnie Stewart in 1904 and they had 4 children and 5 grandchildren, per his own later edits. ~~11 ½” x 9” black faux leather scrapbook, 40pp with numerous items laid in. Good.
