Octavo [21 cm] Orange cloth spine and boards with brown lettering on the spine and front board. In a price-clipped dust jacket. Extremities moderately bumped and rubbed; spine mildly rolled; very minor soiling and a couple of short marks to the binding; front hinge a bit soft; contemporary gift inscription on the front free endpaper. In the illustrated dust jacket, with closed and open tears. The tears are primarily in the edges, however there is a thin 2" open tear in the surface of the rear panel. A folk novel set in the little town of Sangre de Cristo in Taos Valley, New Mexico. Inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper: "To Antonie / with love / Joseph O'Kane Foster / Ranchos de Taos / May 3, 1963." Additionally, an inscribed Christmas note from the author is laid in.
