CHRISTOPHER ISHERWOOD (1904-1986). Christopher Isherwood was an English and American novelist that was a pioneer for gay literature. He is best known for his novels Goodbye to Berlin and A Single Man, the first of which inspired the creation of Cabaret and the latter was adapted to a film in 2009 by Tom Ford.ALS. 1pg. I look forward to hearing from you about your visit to the USSR when next we meet. And I hope it wont be so long after that when I can send you my next manuscript. All my best, Chris Isherwood. Michael di Capua worked with Isherwood to publish the Christopher Isherwood Diaries in 1996. In this letter, Isherwood is in the early stages of writing this book and discusses sending his manuscript soon. The letter is in very good condition.
