Light dust soil and rather extensive foxing to wrappers, spine split; overall a Good example only, though contents remain fresh and sound.

An unexpurgated edition published for Harry and Caresse Crosby at the Black Sun Press "to be sold at the bookshop of Harry Marks, New York." This short novella, deemed "too pagan" by Lawrence's agent Curtis Brown, was originally published in a shortened version by E. Archer in 1926.
