The twelfth edition of Gervase Markham’s A VVay to Get Wealth was a popular handbook for gardening, outdoor sports, and agriculture, which Poynter in his bibliography states “must have received a great deal of ill-usage and it is not surprising that so few copies of the various editions have survived” (pp. 153-154). ~~With engraved illustrations, tables, headpieces, tailpieces, initials, and some title pages illustrated; general title page and divisional title pages; separate pagination for the six sections, with an additional title page for the House-Wife’s Garden. Lacking the final leaf, else collates complete against the ESTC: [12], 146, [14], 92, [12], 188, [4], 19, [7], 126, [10], 102 pp.~~Small chip to the bottom corner of the title page, affecting two characters only of the publication.
