An octavo of 8 by 5 3/8 inches with a small, light brown stain on the fore edge of the text block. In a very near fine dust jacket with the price intact with slight fading of the spine area and a 1/4 inch closed tear at the upper edge of the rear panel. The appendix include 1940 census figures for the state. 651 pages including an index, 9 maps of sections of the state, bibliography, chronology, and photographs in eight sections.
