First Edition, same date 1910 title page and copyright page. vi, 328 p. All eight W. Graham Robertson illustrated plates present, the plate listed at p. 324 is at the frontis, with tissue guard. The first appearance in print of THE WENDIGO, which has been directly adapted into several films and TV episodes and influenced such writers as H.P. Lovecraft, August Derleth, and Stephen King. Very Good, no jacket, in original green cloth, gilt lettering at spine, a 2" tear to clothe at top front gutter, the spine and top 1/2" rear cover uniformly sunned, moderate toning at end papers, prior owner name in ink front end page. A RARE book, uncommon in current commerce with all eight plates present, RBH locates a single copy in a 1965 auction, ABSA shows no results. .
