1917. framed. very good. Autographed letter from President Woodrow Wilson to James F. Byrnes, congressman from South Carolina. The letter written on White House stationary, is in regards to stocks of nitrate of soda and the need for increased agricultural production. Written in May of 1917 about a month after the U.S. entered WWI. Please inquire for more information.

He was the only Democrat to serve as president during the Progressive Era when Republicans dominated the presidency and legislative branches. As president, Wilson changed the nation's economic policies and led the United States into World War I.
