Washington DC: US Office of Education, 1941. Ephemera. [4] pages, printed in blue and red. Vertical fold. Discoloration to edges of front cover. A brochure for a national information exchange system focusing on education research. A diagram explains how the exchange would work: educators from across the country would submit materials to the Exchange which would prepare a catalog of available documents and reproductions to distribute to other educators. Sponsored by the Office of Education, which, in the 1950s, would again recognize the need for national distribution of education materials and launch the Education Resources Information Center (ERIC), an early digital library, in 1966.
