France, 1944. Very good. Light toning, dust soiling, minor staining from staples.. A printed photo booklet promoting the F.F.I., or "French Forces of the Interior" (in French: "Forces françaises de l'Intérieur"). The F.F.I. was the formal name given by Charles de Gaulle to unified paramilitary resistance groups in 1944. Includes full-page photo reproductions of the forces resisting the enemy, each with a brief caption. Subjects of the photographs include: a train derailed to prevent German forces from advancing; prisoners of war; graphic photos of the enemy fallen on the battlefield; messages being recorded; a parade of proud civilians marching before going to liberate Belfort; and members of the F.F.I. holding a French flag proudly.
