Ownership inscription on front flyleaf, two others on preliminary leaves. Interesting manual on "beauty culture" published by Isaak Budnik, a Polish emigre to Mexico. Preliminaries include a portrait of Budnik; a rendering of the proposed building of the Budnik beauty school "sera el mas moderno de toda la Republica"; and a sample diploma. The contents cover all aspects of beauty care, including care of the scalp and head; how to set various types of permanent wave; how to shampoo and cut hair properly; how to give a proper facial massage, manicures, and more. Many of the subjects include step-by-step illustrations of each procedure. The final section is on "formulas diversas," giving recipes for different beauty products. We find no copies in OCLC.
