Inscribed by Duncan on the half-title page to noted poet, translator, and anthropologist Nathaniel Tarn (1928-2024): "For Nathaniel Tarn / in the happenstance of our meeting en haut Centre Pompidou / the two psycho pompodoo / RD." Hint of sunning to spine, light wear to extremities, with a tiny tear to upper front wrapper, and two holograph notes (in pencil) in Tarn's hand within the text; Very Good+ or better. A nice association copy – Tarn published Duncan's work during his tenure at Jonathan Cape, and has both reviewed and written extensively on Duncan and his writing. 87742.
