By LEVY, Benn W.
New York: Samuel French, 1932. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. First edition. Black cloth. Small patch of sunning on rear board, else near fine in an attractive, very good dust jacket with a chip on the rear panel, and toning at the spine. A farce about a playboy who woos a married woman that featured Leslie Banks and Nigel Bruce on Broadway, and then served as the basis for the 1934 Frank Tuttle-directed film with Bruce reprising his role, and featuring Otto Kruger and Nancy Carroll. Levy also wrote several important screenplays including *Waterloo Bridge* and *The Old Dark House*, both filmed by James Whale. Scarce and attractive.
