A printed souvenir bibliography of the 1893 Columbian Exposition, penned by the chairman of the Latin American department at the event. The book contains a list of over one thousand artifacts and works of art displayed to celebrate the "Columbian" theme of the exposition, organized into seventeen discrete sections including sections for the science of navigation, the court of Ferdinand and Isabella, sections for each of the voyages, original papers, and more, ending with the John Boyd Thacher Collection. Each item is numbered within the sections with a descriptive title and brief description of its import to the exposition. Rare books, maps, artwork, and other artifacts are all included. Single vol. (8.5" by 5.75"), pp. 221, [1], with in-text line illustrations of some of the objects, in original printed orange wrps with image of Columbus and La Rabida on the upper wrapper.
