Chicago: The "White" Door Bed Company, 1927. Pictorial wrappers. Very Good +. Scarce 1927 catalogue --issued by the "White" Door Bed Company of Chicago-- showcasing the charms and practical conveniences of the fold-out bed, also called a "Murphy" bed or a "Wall" bed. Intended largely for architects and prospective builders, the 72 pg. catalogue is wonderfully laid-out, generous in its black-and-white photos and informative captions. Crisp and bright and well-preserved, with a bit of light wear at the lower spine. Minor spotting to the preliminaries as well, otherwise very clean internally, with no writing or markings to speak of. Oblong quarto, charming, uncommon pre-Depression catalogue, the first one this bookseller has seen on the subject of "door" beds or "roller" beds.
