Octavo (19 cm); vii,87pp. Dark green cloth-bound boards with paper label to spine wrapped in publisher's intact jacket (5s). Green top stain. Jacket gently rubbed at joints with toning and dust-soiling overall. Verso heavily toned. Board corners and spine ends very gently bumped and interior lightly toned at margins with bookseller's label to rear pastedown, otherwise a Near Fine copy in a Very Good or better dust jacket.

First written in 1909, this play wasn't published until after Lawrence's death. It had been left with his mentor and friend Edward Garnett, who submitted it to Bumpus bookshop's exhibition of Lawrence's work in 1933.
