Hermes was founded in 1992 by Karl Hollerbach with the subtitle "Leaves from a Laboratory"; since 1994, it has been the journal of the Alchemy Research Association. Hermes is published at the spring and autumn equinoxes. In addition to original articles, excerpts from older texts are also published. There are also regular columns: lab tips and tricks, reading and listening, news from the research group, seminars and events, questions and answers, and classifieds.
