Moderate toning, horizontal fold lines, light edgewear. Very good condition overall. $750. * Two apparently unrecorded records of cases heard before the Assize Courts of Argyle, Scotland in 1859 and 1860. Those indicted include Hugh Clark for forgery, whose case went untried because he absconded while on bail, Hugh McLachlan, a shepherd, for, of all crimes, sheep-stealing, Ann Watkins, for "child-murder, or concealment of pregnancy," and John Seaton, for "Assault...with intent to ravish; as also using lewd and indecent practices to a girl under puberty." Both appear to be unrecorded. No copies located on OCLC, Library Hub, or the National Library of Scotland.
