Very Good. 48pp. Sextodecimo [15 cm] Brown cloth over boards with ornamental blind stamped designs on the boards and "Ladies' Masonry" stamped in gilt on the front board. Five illustrated plates. Extremities mildly rubbed. Small stain and 1" ripple to front board. Light foxing to the pages. Stitching visible in the inside margins of the terminal leaves. Baptist minister and educator William Leigh (1790-1873) was elected Junior Grand Warden in 1828, and Grand Master in 1833 and 1834. He published "The Ladies Masonry or Hieroglyphic Monitor” in 1851. He was a member of the order up to his death, being a member of Florence Lodge No. 14 when he died.
