Light wear to extremities with some scuffing to spine; binding sound and interior unmarked; a Very Good copy of the uncommon American publication in a striking Victorian binding. Letchford was close to the Burtons and it was these illustrations that were included in the twelve-volume edition of The Book of a Thousand Nights and a Night published in London the same year.
