Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1889. 1/2 leather. Very Good. Louis K. Harlow. The 1889 1st edition, bound in a contemporary-to-the-period 1/2 leather over marbled boards. Solid and VG in its dark-green leather, with very mild wear alongf the tips and the edges, and a touch of mild scuffing to the front panel. Bright gilt-titling at the spine, brilliant gilt-tooling within its compartments. Octavo, top-edge gilt, nicely illustrated throughout by Louis K. Harlow. Also includes a racy, laid-in 1934 postcard referring to the Depression.
