With the following stories: "The Neon Wilderness," "Somebody in Boots," "Never Come Morning." Inscribed by Nelson Algren on the front free endpaper: "For____ / with best / regards / from / Nelson Algren." Algren (1909-1981) won the 1950 National Book Award for The Man With the Golden Arm.
