Cleveland Bicycles catalog for 1896, one year after Henry Abram Lozier expanded his bicycle business into Canada. (Shortly thereafter, Lozier would sell his bicycle business and enter the automobile industry.) The first of the company’s catalogs to appeal directly to Canadian customers, the catalog features illustrations of the country’s major cities alongside foreign metropolises like Tokyo, Calcutta, Cairo, and Rome. As the booklet’s introduction asserts that Cleveland Bicycles offer “a wheel for all riders, all countries and all seasons.”
