Selection of Draperies, Boudoir Designs

Np: Np, Nd. Paper. A selection of twenty 16 x 23 full color lithograph samples of designs of the period. The Empire style furniture time period is primarily the early 19th century, from roughly 1804 to 1815, during the rule of Napoleon I in France, though it extended into the mid-19th century, notably with the American Empire style (1800-1840). Empire style furniture is characterized by a classicist, austere, and rectangular linear basic shape with a predilection for semi- and fully sculptural gilded metal decoration or carvings. All in very good to better condition in a variety of color renderings.
