London or New York: Seven Arts Pictures, 1964. Wraps. Stapled. Very Good. Camp double feature sci-fi horror film campaign booklet. The two Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee films were released respectively in 1957 and 1958, and in 1964 they were re-released as a double feature. We assume this campaign brochure was issued to theatres in the lead up to that re-release, although we can't rule out that there had been a prior re-release. In any event, the graphics and general appearance is very consistent with the early 1960s. We could find no other copies of this campaign brochure. The brochure was created by the British production company specifically for American distribution of the two films. Seven Arts was based in London, but this brochure might well have been created in the U.S., either in New York or Los Angeles. Folio made of two folding sheets stapled together. 43 by 28. Unpaginated, eight pages, including cover. With three pages of poster options, two pages with details about each movie and suggestions of playful publicity stunts and approaches. As befitting the subject, some fun graphics. Light foxing on cover, front and back. Light to moderate handling wear.
