An imposing, attractive history --issued by the Starrett Corporation-- of the construction of New York's Empire State Building, which officially opened on May 1st, 1931. Double folio, lovely illustrations (charcoals) throughout by Vernon Howe Bailey along the rectos, with generous captions along the facing versos.
