The series of small format books with short stories by the leading literary figures of the period in Mexico included works by Jose Vasconscelos, Alfonso Reyes, Juan José Arreola, José Rubén Romero, Agustín Yáñez, Mariano Azuela and Francisco Tario among others and were illustrated with works by the most representative print artists of the time, most of which were associated with the TGP.
