LIMITED EDITION OF 300. Mixed-media artist Yani Pecanins (b. Mexico 1957) is best known for her artists’ books. In 1984 she established an art gallery and bookstore, El Archivero, with two other artists, Gabriel Macotela and Armando Saez. “Since 1988, year of “El Archivero” art gallery was created, we have promoted a relationship and international promotion “by mail” of marginal products, interdisciplinary works and projects with the objective o creating this public space. The exhibition “Book-Object by Mail” is the outcome of an invitation to artists and specialized publishers to send their work”—P. [6], and included the participation of 16 countries with 110 book.
