Aug 28, 1928", at end of book and on verso of image of Wilson and rear end paper, Sadie made notes on her trip with friends to Sequoia and a list of the 21 people she met and addresses of six people in the Los Angeles area. Herbert Earl Wilson (1891-1980) was a naturalist, lecturer, and author of nature and history books. He lived in the Sierra foothills and led groups to the Sequoia and Yosemite National Parks. He is best known for this book and an earlier book of The Lore and The Lure of the Yosemite (1922).
