Octavo (19cm); 256pp. Publisher’s illustrated dust jacket with 16s. net price intact; boards bound in black cloth with gilt stamping to front panel and silver stamping to spine. Decorative faux bamboo endpapers. Jacket shelfworn, with shallow chips and tears to edges of folds at corners and spine ends, with some smudging to surface; large dampstain over tail of spine and onto front and rear panels, foxing and toning to verso. Boards show a few faint scuffs and a light ringstain to front; spine cocked and nudged at head and tail. Light patches of toning to endpapers. Foxing to edges of textblock. Opens easily between a few gatherings, but binding secure. Pages unmarked.

You Only Live Twice is the twelfth installation in Ian Fleming’s James Bond series and the last to be published during his lifetime. In 1967, it was adapted into a movie starring Sean Connery; the screenplay was written by Roald Dahl.
