Her work appears in many museums,and private collections including the libraries of the Smithsonian, the National Gallery of Art, and the Victoria and Albert Museum. This is a particularly lovely miniature book designed and bound by the Schwartzott. She designed the book with illustrations of flowers from the garden that are presented framed in cut-outs on the previous page. The book begins with a quote from Gertrude Jekyll "The first purpose of a garden is to give happiness and repose of mind..."(Home and Garden, 1900) It ends with a quote from Thomas Reinhardt, Landscape Architect, "A garden is a maze of experience that grows out of the past and builds on the present." This is an accordion-fold miniature book with light cream paper covers debossed with a flower design. Printed offset on cream papers that accentuate the ten beautiful floral illustrations in brown and white. The book ties with a green ribbon and is housed in an acrylic case. In fine condition. Measures 2.75 x 2.75 inches. Unpaginated. MINI/121025.
