Tokyo and Osaka: The Tokyo Asahi Shimbun Company, 1930. Pictorial wrappers. Very Good +. The 20th century's Japanese weekly magazine of record (equivalent perhaps to Life magazine), spanning most of the century, from January of 1923 to October of 2000. Here we offer 9 very early issues: 2 from 1927, 4 from 1928, 2 from 1933 and 1 from 1934. All crisp and bright and in very sharp, VG+ to Near Fine condition. Uniform folios, hundreds and hundreds of photos (mostly gravures) throughout. The text almost exclusively in Japanese, with occasional English captions interspersed.
