Signed Vintage Photograph of a Young Cesar Romero
- SIGNED Photograph
Photograph. Very Good. Wonderful early gravure portrait photograph of the great Cesar Romero (immortalized for his original portayal of "The Joker"), probably taken by German-Australian photographer Henry Talbot (1920-1999) in the early to mid 1940s (signed "Talbot" in the photo). ALSO INCLUDES A PASTED-ON INK SIGNATURE OF CESAR ROMERO along the photograph's bottom-edge. At the rear, the stamp of "Theatre Coll. NYPL PHOTOGRAPH (Autographed)" along the top-edge and, below it, a "DUPL. NYPL" stamp appears. And finally, Cesar Romero's name and address (partly crossed out, probably secretarial) also appear at the rear. The photograph is bright and crisp, with several spots of light soiling and creasing, and two tiny closed tears along the edges. It measures 13" tall x 10" wide in its original card stock and casts the immensely talented young actor in an earnest, appealing light.
