The London-born publisher, George Teasdale (1831-1907) was an apostle for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1882 until his death in 1907. He was called to serve as Mission President of the British Mission from February, 1887 to September, 1890. In addition, Teasdale is also remembered for his involvement with the General Tithing Store and Zion's Co-operative Mercantile Institution, and his role in handling Mormon immigration.
