In 1984 the Galería Arte Actual was inaugurated, directed by Mª Luisa Geisse, Mª Elena Comandari, Mª Eugenia Ossa and Patricia Ready. His approach differs from that proposed by Galería Sur since: “Galería Arte Actual, opens its doors, aware of the importance of Art, within a community. Due to this, the Gallery does not pursue profit, seeking to promote the visual arts, through scholarships [2], in order to help artists in their creative process ”(Catalog of Contemporary Art Gallery).
