Autographed Letter Signed

Washington, 1979. unbound. 1 page, 4to, 11.25 x 8 inches, on yellow lined paper -- a thank-you letter to a friend, in part: "Thank you for a wonderful letter about WAR AND REMEMBRANCE. A very sensitive reading! The Britow book was of course in my library, and I made good use of it. I do wish I could have put in the touch of meat being carved at the Savoy in 1942 by a razor! You'll have to tell me all about Mrs. Sommersby at the next Grove." Washington, D.C., January 4, 1979. Horizontal folds; very good(+) condition.
