(4 B&W plates) INSCRIBED ("To Eleanor Barnes / with my compliments and my high regards") and SIGNED by the author on the title page, additionally dated Apr. 20, 1925. Western adventure story, about a young boy (and his dog) taken captive by Indians. He lives with them for many years and learns their ways (becoming known as "Red Plume" along the way), but never stops plotting his escape.
