By Edmund S.J. Van Der Straeten
London: William Reeves, 1915. 1st. Cloth. Collectible; Very Good. Uncommon--and exhaustive-- study of this particular family of stringed instruments (all closely related to the violin). "With biographies of all the most eminent players of every country". 1915 1st edition. Thick octavo, 700 pgs., top-edge gilt. A well-preserved, VG copy in its crimson cloth with bright gilt-lettering to the spine. Light scuffing to the panels, light offsetting and small, neat former owner name to the front free endpaper. Very impressive in its scale--and in its still-solid, very presentable condition.
