A letter from Eyre & Strahan, at His Majesty's Printing Office to the Clerk of the Peace for the County of Dumbarton dated 17th August 1820. It says that they have sent five copies of an act for obtaining Returns from Turnpike Road Trusts in the Amount of their Revenues and Expense of maintaining the same along with fifty schedules for immediate distribution - 25 to the several Clerks and 25 to the several treasurers of Turnpike Trusts in the county. George Eyre and Andrew Strahan were the principal's in the printing company, having inherited from their fathers.
