A compilation of the early poetry of Jean Cocteau (1889-1963), a major French artist and writer. Despite his later achievements as a novelist, film-maker, and designer, Cocteau thought of himself foremost as a poet. At the time these poems were written, he was an associate of such major artists and writers as Proust, Gide, Picasso, and Satie. Bound in beige paper wrappers that are browned, torn and with the spine no longer present. The interior is clean with minor browning to margins. Pages are unopened. 129 pages. FRE/022707.
