Fine original sepia photograph of a costumed social event in the form of a corn-husking bee; signed “Underwood & Underwood” in pencil in margin

  • 1 vols. 9 x 7-3/4 inches, plus wide margins
  • n.p. , 1920
By (Photograph) Underwood & Underwood
n.p., 1920. 1 vols. 9 x 7-3/4 inches, plus wide margins. A few creases and one tear without loss, all in the margins not affecting the image, else fine. 1 vols. 9 x 7-3/4 inches, plus wide margins. An intriguing photograph of men and women, costumed in what seems to be intended as rural garb, shucking corn under a ceiling of decorative cornstalks. Not everyone seems happy, including a pensive young man in the foreground being pawed by a large dog, but they're all being good sports. Accompanied by a smaller (4-1/2 x 3-3/4) print on which the name of the famous photography studio has been added to the image.
