In a very pretty contemporary binding of French tree calf, sides with ornamental borders, spine gilt with leather label, blue endpapers (front flyleaf clipped); very slight rubbing to edges, otherwise a very pretty copy. Bookplate of samuel W. Lambert and Nancy Bookseller label of Bontoux Libraire. 1 vols. 8vo. Apparently the third edition of this “Excellente traduction” (Brunet), first published in 1770, then again in 1783 by F.-A. Didot, of which this seems to be a second issue with title-page dated 1784.
