INSCRIBED and SIGNED by the author on the front endpaper for William Macey Stone, long- time secretary of the Carteret Book Club. Below his inscription, Coppard has added a quote from Thomas Hardy identified by him as "(T.H.)": "the whole romance to see here/Is the dream I bring with me." The beautiful muti-colored covers of this book are bright and fresh. The paper spine label is now loose and laid into the book but in perfect condition.
