Very good. The edges of the spine and covers are gently bumped. The spine is slightly rolled. The edges of the text block are darkened and lightly foxed. There is a gift inscription in pencil on the front free endsheet. The pages are mildly browned, and have very occasional small light stains. The dust jacket is in good condition. Mildly soiled and age-toned. The edges are chipped, and have multiple small losses. There is a 4 inch closed tear in the paper at the foot of the spine. The spine is slightly darkened. Copies of this are uncommon in a dust jacket.
