New York: E. P. Dutton and Co., Inc, 1931. First edition. Hardcover. John Vassos. 75 pp. Small quarto [23 cm] 1/4 black cloth with ivory white cloth covered boards, and gilt stamped titles. Very good. There are a multitude of tiny stains on the covers, that are probably the result of foxing. The gilt stamped title on the spine is rubbed. There is a bookseller's faint ink stamp on the front pastedown. There is a contemporary gift inscription on the front free endsheet, and the rear endsheet is darkened along the hinge. John Vassos was a 1930's book illustrator and long-term industrial designer. Among other projects, Vassos illustrated many of Oscar Wilde's literary works.
