The book focuses on the Old Waverly neighborhood in Baltimore beginning with a brief history of the area starting just after the Civil War in the 1870s. The chapters are mostly organized to align with terms of pastors in Old Waverly. Includes anecdotal historical information such as the salaries of pastors ($300 in the 1870s up to $2,500 in the 1930s), history of Boy Scout Troops in the area, and other reminiscences.
