16mo cloth, new endpapers, with printed label on top of spine, 173 pp. Some paper labels on front pastedown and first endpaper, some foxing and soiling, but in very good condition. This small volume provides some good background material on the development of North East colonies, including a list of New Jersey governors from the early 18th century. Gives details on how the Fenwick family purchased the land in Salem from the Indians for a few guns and some rum (some things never change). First local history of a town or city in New Jersey.
